DRAMATIC
Notice that on Anita, the eyes are the chosen focal point. To make this look work, it is imperative that your brows be well-groomed and nicely defined and that your blush and lipstick colors be either completely natural or offer only the slightest wash of color. The glowing undertones of the eyeshadow and blush offer just enough reflective properties to enhance the elegance of her look without being garish and distracting.
This style is impressive, but it is surprisingly easy to achieve given the texture and blend-ability of the shadows. The most common mistake I see women make when trying to accomplish this application is that they follow the top lash line in a thin, swooping shape with the eyeliner, and allow it to extend too far out on the sides. To get that lifted look in the outer corner of the eye, start thin with your liner in the inner corner, and create a wedge shaped line (like a triangular cosmetic sponge), getting wider as you approach the outer corner. This will also enable you to end the eyeliner in the outer third corner of the eyelid where it can be blended into the same shade of dry eyeshadow. I very often use this technique with a much less dramatic application, as the lifted result is so pretty.
